Hi all,
Heard on the radio this morning that women who lost their babies to forced adoption have petitioned Govenment to apologise. Let's hope they do, and to all adoptees that lost their mothers too.
But, it says something about society when you have to ask for an apology and a bit on the late side when all the matrons of the maternity homes, clergy, previous Government officials, moral welfare workers and the many parents of those women who sent them away are probably now deceased! Shame on them, not us!
To be honest I don’t think anyone can understand the grief of giving a baby up for adoption unless they have experienced it themselves. If these Mothers feel an apology will help them then I hope they will soon get their wish.
Thankyou for your message.
