Hi everyone, my uncle was born David Michael Scobie to Jean Scobie on 08/03/1956 in The Haven, Yateley. She was a student nurse at the time. There are no fathers details on his birth certificate.
It was a Baptist union mother and baby home. He was put for adoption and my nana carried on with her life.
We never knew about him until recently. We found letters in my nanas stuff where the lady she was writing too (Aunty Nellie) told her not to regret anything and it was for the best.
We knew something had happened, and my mum always said how my grandads mother hated nana, and wouldn't let them marry, so they waited until 6 months after she passed away. So this must be why.
If he is willing, we would love to connect. If not, we just have some medical history to let him know.
Finding lost family connections can be such an emotional journey. I hope you’re able to reconnect with your uncle soon! It’s incredible how places like The Haven in Yateley hold so many memories and links to our past. On a different note, balancing personal challenges with academic pressures can be overwhelming. I’ve been considering Online Nursing Essay Help services to manage my assignments during tough times. Has anyone else here tried juggling personal searches or issues with heavy academic workloads? Any tips on finding balance?
